You may purchase 1, 2, 3, 4 or all five strands. You can choose to have them placed together with a single lobster clasp or have a lobster clasp for each individual strand.

The lengths can be altered between about 16" to about 22" by adding to the bead strands you purchase.

I have been a lover of all ancient looking jewelry since I was a child staring at books with illustrations of goddesses and queens from places I couldn't even pronounce yet. When I was a graduate student, a (female) professor gave a lecture whose topic I no longer recall, but whose fabulous ancient-looking (or maybe it was pilfered treasure?) is etched in my memory. These wabi-sabi necklaces are often the sum of what we recover from the lives of people who lived thousands of years ago.

In my modern interpretations, I use some antique and even (claimed) ancient beads, many beads made with ancient techniques and from primordial materials like clay and glass or stone. But their beauty also lies in being mixed with modern artisan and small-batch manufactured beads of all sorts. All shapes and colors of the beads I've been collecting for a lifetime make their poetry in a simple strand, whose gentle beauty is still untamed, constructed made one bead at a time.
